- Now, since there is already a torrent of this Simulator, that torrent consists on malaware and Spyware stuff. So, I would want to request a ACTUAL Run 8 Train Simulator game, someone who ACTUALLY tested it, ran it, and runs a check so there isnt any bad stuff. Here is the homepage: www.run8studios.com.

Lone Pine Branch and Trona Railway Released
The UPSP Lone Pine Branch starts at the Main 2 Switch just north of Mojave Yard, heading northeast across Highway 14. This branch originally ran for about 150 miles to Lone Pine, CA. In the early 1980's, the Southern Pacific Railroad filed for abandonment of roughly 100 miles from Searles, CA, to Lone Pine. Since then, this branch is only about 50 miles in length, running between Mojave Yard and Searles Yard. Between Mojave and Searles, there are a few industries served at Chaffee, Cantil & Saltdale.
This branch was also known as the:
- Jawbone Branch
- Searles Branch
- Owenyo Branch
The Trona Railway operates between Searles Yard and the town of Trona, CA, roughly 30 miles inlength. Searles Yard is used as an interchange between the UPSP Railroad and the Trona Railway. This line serves three mineral mining operations that operate next to Searles Lake (a dry lakebed) near the towns of Trona and Argus, CA.

Run8's 8th update for version to has released. My tom 2. Below a change log can be found. A SJVR GP 40 can also be found in the update
To download the update visit the Run8 Studios website.
Update 08 (Version 05.22.2019)
- Adjusted the Host network code to mitigate a condition that would sometimes cause manual-switches to take a long time to actuate for a user
- Fixed a network inefficiency regarding CTC switch & signal updates, thus reducing the network load a bit
- Fixed dynamic-brakes operating when the Reverser wasn't in FWD or REV
- Added several new AI Spawn Points on the west-coast routes
- Baretable container-cars now properly experience less wind-drag than when loaded with containers
- Signal code-correction for NORAC signals
- Added corrected textures for the windows of the CE11 and C509 Cabeese
New Branch lines of the West Coast
With the addition of the Arvin Branch by Run8 adds approximately 17 miles of branch line from Magunden to Arvin, CA passing through the towns of Lamont and Digorgio along the way. This branch was mainly agricultural in older times, with numerous packing sheds for potatoes, carrots, citrus, and other produce. In more recent times, for business or political reasons, large surcharges were added for railcars shipped from points beyond Lamont, effectively killing the southern half of the branch. Most produce these days is trucked to other facilities, such as Edison, for loading onto railcars.
In addition to the 17 miles on Arvin an additional 8 miles can be found heading west out of Mojave, The Oak Creek Branch runs between the Wye at Mojave, CA, and a CalPortland cement plant located in Creal, about 8 miles west of Mojave. The grade is 2% and greater uphill westbound. The branch is
unsignalled.
unsignalled.

Run 8 Update #7
The following is a change log for Update 7 for Run 8 V2 - to get the update Click Here
- Distant Terrain for the southwest-US region was re-processed and re-indexed to make future projects simpler. Overall visibility was also increased some
- Fixed single-unit mid-train DPU locomotives from turning on their headlights
- Fixed bug that would cause Baretable trains to AI-Spawn with containers when any of the car-filters were applied
- Fixed issue where locomotives that were turned off would still show oil-pressure, RPM, etc.
- Modified SD70 MFD Screens to show “Engine OFF” or “ENG. START” on the first page and on the Locomotive Monitor page
- Fixed issue with inconsistent locomotive tag coloring regarding fuel level:
- A red tag now indicates low fuel
- A green tag now indicates full fuel
- Partial fuel indicates at varying shades of yellow
- Car tags remain the same: green for unloaded, red for loaded
- RailDriver and Alerter tweaks: Some guys were reporting that the Alerter, when using the RailDriver, would never work (ie, it was constantly resetting). This was mostly due to slight user mis-calibration of their RailDriver, however, the following tweaks to the code have been made to further mitigate miscalibrations or signal noise:
- Refactored the TrainBrake lever so that it will only reset the alerter if the ER changes
- Refactored Indy-Brake and Dynamic Brake levers so that they will reset the alerter only after the lever has moved a certain amount since the last time
- Unrelated to the Alerter, we've applied a programming tweak as suggested by PI Engineering that should prevent a condition that caused some units to
have cracklingstatic from the speaker.
- AI Traffic Generation of Mixed-Intermodal Trains
- Reefer and Autorack cars have been added to the Mixed-Intermodal category
- If no Filters are set, the algorithm will randomly decide if it will be mixed with autoracks, pigs, or reefers; otherwise, it will be mixed with whatever cars the user has designated
- The algorithm will randomly decide if the container-cars will be at the front or the back of the train. The train will be blocked according to car-type
- Fixed math mistake that would cause the occasional switch-frog to misplace
- Added avatar attach-points to the following cars:
- BNSF TrinCool 72 (platform-end only)
- ARMN TrinCool 64 (platform-end only)
- Adjusted car-spawner logic at railroad-xings to correct a couple of problems
- Cars shouldn't get stuck on the tracks as much
- They now wait for the Gates to raise a bit before driving thru
- Fixed a Crash-Condition regarding the auto-deletion of corrupted trains

Run 8 Studios released update #6. With the new update the heritage units will attempt to spawn with their prototypical number. The new update fixes some issues that arose after the latest update, such as the incorrect track speeds being set for Amtrak and other trains. For a complete listing of changes see the change log below:
- El Programmerdero made a small mistake in Update 05 causing Amtrak and other trains to be assigned the wrong track-speeds, which is now fixed
- KCS SD70ACes, since they're not actually a one-off Heritage Unit, are now available for AI trains
- Heritage SD70ACes will now attempt to use their actual real-life Number if it's available in the world; if not, then they will be assigned a different number
- For now, AI Trains will not be randomly assigned Heritage Units (except for KCS as mentioned above)
- Corrected a bug causing the WP GP40-2 locomotive's attach points not to be set correctly (ie, you couldn't climb them)
- Corrected a bug that sometimes caused the wrong Max AI Spawn Time to be set
- Corrected a bug in the Ctrl-L Switch List window where if cars were re-tagged, the industry names sometimes wouldn't reflect the re-tag

Run 8 Update #5
Update 5 has been released, included are a number of fixes and the foundation for the added rolling stock and loco motives. The update can be found on the Run 8 Studios website Below is a change log.
Update 05 (Version 07.17.2018)
- Maximum number of AI Trains allowed has been increased from 80 to 120
- Only affects Host or Single-Player Note: Performance can and will decrease as more AI Trains are added into the world; nothing in this world is free.
- Fixed the Caleb H. Crash-Condition when entering multiple new Hump Configs in the Hump Configuration Menu
- Open-top cars (such as open-hoppers, centerbeams and gondolas) now have more resistance from wind-drag when empty. There was a bug in previous versions that caused the wind-drag to stay the same regardless of load condition
- Added a few seat positions in the following Amtrak Superliner cars:
- Lounge (upstairs)
- Coach-Baggage (upstairs)
- Coach (downstairs and upstairs)
- Found and corrected a condition that would cause the sim to crash before reaching the Main Menu when there was a corrupted AutoSave INFO file

Run 8 Update #4 & Selkirk Mohawk Updates
3-5-18 - Highball Staff Writer
Run 8 has released Update #4 for V2 Today. Below are a list of changes
- Adjusted the threshold PSI/Second reduction-rate necessary to trigger the
Emergency-Application Valve; this solves a minor issue reported about
inconsistent emergency-application dump behaviour. (Since the customer who
reported this is from Australia, I've added the extraneous “u” to the word
“behaviour” in his honor) - Corrected a crash-condition null reference that sometimes occurred during
uncoupling

Just want to offer the community an update as to what John, Nigel, and myself are up to in regards to Run 8.
First of all, we thank all of you for your support and great feedback. It is very much appreciated by us and our team so please keep the feedback coming. We do monitor most of the forums out there too.
Run 8 Train Simulator V3
Okay so it has been a difficult year for some of us. Nigel and his family had to make a major house move this last year and they are just now finally getting settled into a new place. City life edition 2008 serial code.
Me, well I had a major heart attack in August 2016 a few months before we released v2. Actually it was my second heart attack in two years. Since then my doctors found a major artery that was 96% blocked and installed a 3 cm stent to unblock it which has helped me feel way mobetta these days. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of damage done to my heart over the years leading up to the attacks which therefore is taking some time to heal. So I have been on a low stress diet and taking care of myself. I feel great now.
John has been busy working on many fronts. San Bernardino aka LA is almost there. Probably looking at a late March release. He is also working on v3. We will be introducing rain, snow and other cool environment stuff. We think that we will also have scheduled AI and some other cool stuff such as turntables, transfer tables, and working draw bridges. We hope to have it ready by the end of 2018, we'll see.
Three new regions are under development a long with six new routes. Some small, some large. Yes we have brought on more third party developers. However, due to our competitors watching everything we do we will be keeping our cards close to our vest in regards to the details of those projects and their release dates, prices, etc. but will release more information as we get closer to releasing them.
Yes, more trainsets are coming after the first of the year. Alcos, GE Dash9s, and a yard switcher. maybe a MP15 or SW1200.
Thank you again for all of your support and feedback and we wish everyone a safe holiday season.
Brad
